Joseph Rutherford = Donald Trump
by Wild_Thing ini have been rereading a lot about rutherford lately; about his personality and the kind of person he was.
i have come to the conclusion that he was a lot like donald trump.. he was an accused womanizer.. he was a narcissist with a self inflated ego.
he claimed to be persecuted by the media all the time.

One day I will work out how to get the quote to come up in a little yellow box....
It’s simples resolute bandicoot.
1. Highlight the area you want to copy. Right click copy.
2. In the box where you type your comment click on the quote symbol.
3. Paste the quote into the yellow area that appears.

The similarities are clear to see really. Though most in the media probably are against him, not because of some conspiracy- he simply doesn’t represent the views of the media class. And trump’s promises are probably more reliable than Rutherford’s. -

Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Baker Who Refused to Bake Cake for Gay Couple
by Simon inseems like such an obviously correct decision to overturn the previous overreach - it should never have been necessary to go to the supreme court but happened because the rights of the religious were being ignored.. as the fundamental level, no one should be able to compel you to work for them or to provide services that go against your beliefs, and certainly not have the government be able to force you to comply.. if this was allowed there would be so many unreconcilable situations that would clog up courts over nonsense.. i also have little patience for these activists that intentionally look to be offended.
it really doesn't do their cause any good to go round looking to make trouble for people.
it's also misguided because it ends up strengthening religious rights over effectively stupid issues.. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/04/us/politics/supreme-court-sides-with-baker-who-turned-away-gay-couple.html.

People regularly flout the law in such a manner but does that really mean we should be without law freedom of fade? The gay community go through hell even in tolerant societies- the law should be on their side as a model. Countries whose laws reflect the ‘consciences’ of the religiously intolerant are generally the most inhumane place to live. -

Blown away I am not at all wrong. He ‘provides a service’ for straights -making personalised wedding cakes. He does not provide this service for those that are gay. This is called discrimination. The law should always be above somebody’s misguided conscience.
Morph as blown away pointed out in his earlier circular reasoning filled comment there are groups that the law protects- homosexuals are one of them, porno lovers are not.

No Morph wouldn’t make a porno cake or a racist cake as you suggested earlier. But that wouldn’t be homophobia or racism on my part would it. You’re convoluting issues.
This WAS homophobia since he didnt provide a service that he does otherwise provide for straights. The law SHOULD protect these people against discrimination in the service industry.

Very sad outcome indeed. Reminded me of a case in the UK in 2013 where hotel owners turned away a gay couple- the UK court ordered the backward couple to pay damages- too right. Evidently the USA is a little more rooted in our backward christian origins. If you are providing a service to the public don’t be homophobic ! Who cares about the poor bakers fuckin conscience what about how the couple in question feel at being separated and stigmatised because of the way that they were born? If you can’t show equality in the service industry then change jobs.

Meghan Markle Will Omit 'Obey' from Her Wedding Vows to Prince Harry
by AFRIKANMAN inwhen meghan markle says her royal wedding vows to prince harry on saturday, she’ll be following in the footsteps of princess diana and kate middleton by choosing to omit the traditional promise to “obey” her husband, the palace confirms.. during the ceremony, officiated by archbishop of canterbury justin welby, meghan will tell her royal groom: “i meghan, take you, harry, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part; according to god’s holy law.
in the presence of god i make this vow.”.
the decision doesn’t come as a surprise: meghan has long been a vocal feminist, working with organizations like one world vision to learn about the challenges facing women and girls living in dubai and mumbai.

I enjoyed the American preacher Michael curry strutting his stuff in a deeply traditional church. My, how he raised some royal eyebrows. But I think people loved his style.
Although an atheist I was, briefly, tempted by him back into Christianity. For about 0.68 seconds anyway.
Enjoy your day guys.

who has been out the longest?
by stan livedeath inwho has been out of the cult the longest ?.
i'll start--i resigned in 1971, but attended occasionally as a non-interested husband to keep the wife sweet, untill my last circuit assembly in autumn 1980. no connection with the cult since then.
so--its either 47 or 38 years, depending on how you see it.. which begs the question--why am i on this site now ?.

Copy and pasting might overcome the tracking code trap but not the canary trap. With the Human Resources available at Washtowels modern day slavery camps- I wouldn’t put it past them to slightly alter the wording of each boe letter to catch the leakers.
